Skaginn has a wide range of processing equipments for use both on land and on board.

Among them is pelagic processing on board with capacity over 100 ton/24 h of herring fillet and land based system built up of one or more lines each of capacity 7,5 ton/h (180 ton/24h). The IQF-freezer with combined super contact and blast freezing for wide range of product. At Nor Fishing in Throndheim Skaginn will introduce a new concept for automation in Blast Freezing. The intention is to lower energy cost and manpower. The innovation of the system is that instead of transport by truck to and from the freezers in racks and inside the freezer, a production line is built up where packed fish is automatically transferred to shelf that are stacked and automatically transported to the freezer. The loading and unloading of the freezer is done automatically. The block is automatically pushed from the shelf and the shelf transported back for reuse. The block is then palletized in a palletizing automat.

Also Skaginn will introduce new automatic in feed to the Skaginn IQF freezer. This in feed is connected to the trimming line introduced last year at the exhibition in Throndheim. In that way the fish automatically is delivered from the filleting over to trimming and onto in-feed belt to the IQF-freezer.
