Simrad found that visitors to this year''s WFE were very interested in the company''s new products presented at the exhibition, as well as its well-proven existing products.
At the show, Simrad launched the SH90. The SH90 is a tool to improve catch efficiency as its resolution makes difficult targets such as mackerel, tuna and fish close to the bottom far easier to detect than before. The high frequency SH90 is a complete redesign of the highly regarded SH80 and includes new transducer, transceiver and high-power processor, as well as software based system signal processing.
Simrad also launched the ES70 echo sounder, which includes all the features of the existing ES60 and introduces a number of new and upgraded features, including: intuitive structured menu with multiple languages for quick and easy understanding operation; automatic features such as range dependant pulse length, seamless auto range and screen history memory buffer; bottom detector; bottom hardness analyser; zoomed window for fish size and fish volume, and fish plot view.
