Spanish retailer BM Supermercados is endorsing BAP as part of its commitment to sustainability

Since its formation in 1993 it has expanded across Spain in Madrid, Ávila, Cantabria, the Basque Country, Navarra and La Rioja.

The retailer says it bases it business model on three pillars - fresh produce, wide variety and excellent service.

This commitment means BM Supermercados receives daily deliveries from its fishmongers in the Cantabrian Sea’s main ports.

It also works with more than 400 small farmers and producers in the region that guarantee the freshness of their products and promote responsible practices.

The company says this latest alignment with BAP supports its operational pillars of environmental responsibility, animal health and welfare, food safety and social accountability.
