New to Ishida’s quality control range is its latest checkweigher, the DACS-G, which delivers even higher speed and accuracy and, at the touch of a button, can switch between two weighing ranges, allowing manufacturers and processors to handle more products on one machine.

The Ishida Fresh Food Weigher presents another solution to the handling and weighing of sticky products, featuring a linear multihead design, fed by belts from an infeed table

A unique Dislocating Force Limiter automatically disconnects the weigh sensor from the weigh conveyor should sudden excessive force be applied (for example during clean down), protecting the DACS-G against rough handling.

Another recent development on show at SPE will be the Ishida IX-EA-2161, an entry-level version of the company’s market leading X-ray inspection system that offers seafood companies an affordable solution for maximum quality control in their packing operations. The new economy model operates at belt speeds of up to 60m per minute, and has been designed to inspect products such as thermoform and top seal trays.

A powerful X-ray enables the machine to offer higher detection levels than a standard metal detector and can easily identify a 0.7mm diameter metal piece as well as checking products for a much wider range of foreign bodies, including glass, stone, rubber and plastic.

Fast and effective tray sealing is provided by Ishida’s award winning QX1100 with double-track configuration and servo motors to ensure maximum efficiency. The QX1100 features fast product changeovers and a unique hygienic design for easy cleaning plus it is easy to operate, all of which contribute to reducing downtime.
