Seafish, the UK authority on seafood, has announced that Paul W Kerr has been appointed as the new Independent member on the Board representing Northern Ireland.
The appointment is from the 15 June 2009 and will be for a period of three years. Mr Kerr was chairman of Northern Ireland Seafood Ltd from April 2002 to 2009 and was also a member of Northern Ireland Food Strategy Group.
Welcoming the new member to the board, Seafish Chairman Charles Howeson said: “We are delighted to welcome our new board member following the official confirmation of his appointment. We look forward to working with him to create a more efficient, profitable and sustainable seafood industry, both here in Britain and internationally.”
