German food-importing company, Otto Franck, has successfully concluded its Friend of the Sea certification renewal audit.
Now skipjack tuna and sardines imported by the company can continue to display the FoS seal of approval.
The company has been importing high-quality canned and frozen foods for German and international customers since the 1920s.
Skipjack tuna and sardines imported by Otto Franck are fished by selective purse seine in the Western Central Pacific and Eastern Central Atlantic, respectively.
“Throughout the years, Otto Franck Import has followed strict sustainability rules, in order to protect the environment and offer the safest products to its customers,” says Dr Rudolf Kraus, general manager of Otto Franck. “Being re-certified by Friend of the Sea further confirms our continued engagement to our environmental company policy.”
