Saeplast of Iceland is offering its new 1400 L PUR container for storing and transporting large fish such as tuna and swordfish.

It is made of a tough, recyclable, polyethylene shell and insulated with rigid polyurethane foam.

Almost two metres long weighing 120kg with a 1,400-litre capacity maximum strength comes from a one-piece, seamless design and the company believes it is probably the strongest of its type on the market. Standard fittings include four drainage holes with screw-in plugs and an integrated pallet with bevelled edges to guide forklift prongs.

The tub's handles are ergonomically designed to ensure easy sliding and reduce damage and optional accessories includes matching lid, drain-hole plugs, customised marking, various colours and radio tags for real-time tracking.

The standard colour is beige.
