Mexico based Rice Propulsion has reported a good level of interest in its Kaplan propeller system.
Ideal for shrimpers and other fishing vessels, the Kaplan is, according to the company, an example of its most advanced technology.
The propeller is designed to be used with a nozzle in order to give the vessel more thrust by increasing the efficiency of a heavy loaded propller when working at low speeds.
The company as a whole designs propellers and nozzles for a range of marine and boating applications including tug boats, ferries and cargo ships.
It also produces the Nautilus propeller for low noise and vibration.
