Registration is now available for Seafish’s 2016 Humber Seafood Summit, and the authority’s chief executive, Marcus Coleman, has outlined the benefits of attending.

Mr Coleman will be attending the summit for the first time. He became chief executive in January and will open the summit as well as chair a number of the discussions.
“The Humber Seafood Summit is a fantastic event enabling organisations in the seafood industry to come together, share views and explore the issues and opportunities facing the supply chain,” said Mr Coleman.
“It is important that the seafood industry works together in a collaborative and forward-looking way if it is to encourage more people to eat more fish more often. Events like the Humber Seafood Summit are a perfect format for that work to take place.”
The summit draws interest from key people in the importers and distributors, processors, foodservice and retail sectors of the UK seafood industry and brings together a panel of respected industry and national government speakers and delegates from the UK and further afield.
The three key themes for the Humber Seafood Summit are the seafood consumer, aquaculture and trade. Discussions will include consumer trends, aquaculture developments, seafood trade, supply chain development, product integrity, reputation and global outlooks.
Registration is now available to attend the summit. A Seafood Fayre evening networking event will be held on Tuesday 27 September at The Humber Royal, Grimsby, UK with the Humber Seafood Summit taking place on Wednesday 28 September between 8.30am and 4pm at The Pier, Cleethorpes.
