The Swedish Fish Processing machine manufacturer - AB SEAC - with historical links to ARENCO-KM AB - during the 60''ties and 70''ties one of the TWO leading Fish Processing machine manufacturer in the world - has now redesigned one of the most common fish processing machines on the market - the ARENCO SFD-300.
The machine can now handle down to 10/12 cm full length fish and we believe that this is the only machine in the world that can do so small fish, says Ulf Groenqvist, president of AB SEAC to World Fishing.
The History about SFD-300:
The ARENCO SFD-300 was designed during the 50'ties and 60'ties with earlier model designated SFD-200 etc. The machine was original designed for the filleting of sardines and was delivered in over 2 500 pcs all over the world.
Even today You can find machines still in operation after almost 50 years of production -- and the machine can be found on almost all continents (South America-Canada/USA-Australia-Asia-Europe).
A versatile easy to handle filleting machine
The ARENCO SFD-300 is a versatile, robust machine that is perfect for small and medium sized companies.
The machine is small, it's equipped with wheels which means that You can move it from on place to another very easily and it's a machine that is easy to handle, operate and maintain.
During the last ten years of rebuilding and complete renovation from AB SEAC the company with its network companies have delivered over 30 such machines -- especially around the Baltic Sea but during last three years also during the Mediterranean Sea and North Africa.
Redesigned ARENCO SFD-300 for small fish with high capacity
The machine has been redesigned by:
1 A complete new infeed table for the smaller fish have been manufactured
2 On the table a stainless steel plate have been fixed
3 The infeed chute have been redesigned
4 All different devices in the machine have been adjusted to process minimum sized fish via longer shafts and new guides etc
The ARENCO SFD-300 will be able to fillet up to 280 fish/min which means that the machine will do the double capacity compared to the SFA-11.
The machine will do from 10/12-18 cm fish in XS and up to 35 cm fish with other infeed tables.
The end product will be butterfly fillets with skin-on as making single fillets in the machine will be too difficult due to the small size of the fish.
If customer will demand single fillet without skin -- this must be made manual by hand operation.
Due to the fact that the machine is not new -- only complete renovated -- will mean that this filleting machine will have a price that is almost 50 % less than similar new manufactured filleting machines on the market and still same new guarantee.
Redesigned H&G + T machine ARENCO CIS-N F 35
AB SEAC have also redesigned the ARENCO Nobbing Machine-- CIS-N to be able to H&G + ev T of small anchovy and similar fish down to approx 80 fish/kilo.
With a capacity of up to 325 fish/min this machine is very well suited for the canning industry. If using F 45 pocket You can run from approx 12-35 fish/kilo
The machine is complete mechanical designed -- no Vacuum is used (but can be added as optional) -- and this has proven to be an advantage on some special fish species such as saury; silver smelt; anchovy and sardines but most type of Pelagic Fish can be processed in the machine which was the No 1 machine exported from ARENCO during the 50-80's.
The CIS-N works as follows: 2-4 operators place the fish into the s/s pockets which forward the fish to different stations in the machine.
First the fish is measured to obtain highest possible yield during the headcutting.
On bigger fish -- four knives are used and on smaller fish two knives. The last pai of knives is working almost like handgutting and together with the downfall of headpockets the head and entrails are falling down into the offal chute. Ev remaining entrails are removed by two gutting rollers. If tailcut a Push back unit and a tailcutting unit is placed at the end of the machine.
The ARENCO CIS-N has recently been installed on different Russian and Ukraine boats for sardinella production. One more advantage with the machine is that the customer in the future, can add a Filleting machine to the CIS-N and then receive BOTH H&G + T AND different fillets -- this in the same machine and without needing vacuum tanks etc.
