The National Investment Company in Tanzania, on behalf of Tanzanian Fish Development Company, has awarded Recom Ice Systems an order for a complete ice factory.
The factory will consist of a containerised ice plant with two 25 ton ice machines, a 40 ton ice storage with internal rake system and screw delivery system.
For the other cooling requirements, Recom received the order for an industrial Sabroe screw freezing plant, a big storage freezer, an air cooled chiller and various air coolers.
Recom tells World Fishing that one of the reasons why it was granted the order was the ability to quote equipment beyond the scope of ice related machinery and include other industrial cooling equipment. Recom’s regional technical representative has been involved in supervising the erection throughout the project and the company's technical staff will be involved in the training and commissioning.
