Aquaculture and fishing technology provider Optimar AS has been ranked number one in the selection process for the Fish ID project, a collaboration between the Norwegian Directory of Fisheries and key industry players.

Fish ID aims to develop and implement a digital identification system for fish, allowing for improved traceability and sustainability in the fishing industry.
As the top-ranked participant by the selection criteria for phase 1, Norwegian-headquartered Optimar will contribute its expertise and technology to the project, including its fish sorting and grading systems.
The company will also work closely with the Norwegian Directory of Fisheries and other partners to ensure the successful implementation of the Fish ID system.
