The PPS group has announced the launch of the new PPS ‘Easy-Clean’ fish box in 15kg and 25kg capacities.

The PPS Easy-Clean fish box is manufactured from strong and durable HDPE to withstand the rigors of the industry. Ergonomically designed and with rounded edges to prevent bruising of fish, the PPS fish boxes have fewer edges that could harbour bacteria and which also makes for easy cleaning.
Due to its special design, the fish box is very functional, meeting the highest demands for hygiene and is completely stackable/ nestable to optimise on available space.
The fish boxes are designed for today’s chilled supply chain and together with PPS plastic pallets and they can provide a very safe and integrated handling system to support logistics. They are easy to handle and incorporate a sophisticated drainage system that allows ice melt and liquid substances to efficiently drain away without entry into lower stacked boxes. This contributes to preserving and protecting the freshness and quality of the catch.
PPS Easy-Clean returnable plastic fish boxes are reusable and 100% recyclable. In a recent study carried out by the Humber Seafood Institute, it reported an 89% improvement in the carbon footprint, comparing PPS fish boxes as opposed to one way trip EPS polystyrene boxes.
The fish crate is being introduced in two versions - 15 kg and 25 kg - but plans are already underway to add to the range, with both a 6kg and 8kg box.
PPS East (Grimsby) and PPS Midlands (Measham) are prepared to offer interested parties sample crates for trial. Full details of the PPS Easy-Clean fish box and samples will be available on request from PPS
