Pakistans exports boosted
Improved fish landings and major efforts to tap into new markets, and enhance traditional ones in Pakistan gave the seafood export industry a strong boost, during the 2003-2004 fiscal period, FIS reports.
Fish and seafood exports mounted to over 100 thousand tonnes.
Landings proved to overstep targets by USD 2 million, as the country’s overall fish and seafood exports witnessed a 21.5 per cent (10,037t) increase, for a total of 103,251t valued at PKR 8.8 billion (USD 150 million), according to the Daily times.
