Salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire has been named ‘Star of Innovation’ at the annual European Small and Mid-Cap Awards 2019 held in Brussels.
This award recognises Atlantic Sapphire’s innovative approach whilst delivering investment returns to shareholders. Atlantic Sapphire is listed on the Merkur market, Oslo Bors.
Atlantic Sapphire places research and development and sustainability at the centre of its strategy and has shown continuous improvement in the development of its Bluehouse technology over the past ten years.
The company is well advanced in the construction of its first phase, a Bluehouse facility in Miami, which is set to become the world’s largest land-based salmon farming operation by 2020 producing 10,000 tonnes annually.
