CFT: Cape Town Agreement’s full ratification advances global fisheries transparency
The Coalition for Fisheries Transparency (CFT) has welcomed the full ratification of the Cape Town Agreement, a major ocean treaty aimed at protecting fishers’ lives at sea. The global network of more than 50 global civil society organisations said the agreement will also help deter illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing activities and is a key component of the Global Charter for Fisheries Transparency.
