Royal Greenland names new CEO
Royal Greenland has appointed Toke Binzer as its new chief executive with effect from 1 December 2025.
The move marks a strategic step for the company, reinforcing its global leadership and deep roots in Greenland.
Chair of the board, Niels Thomsen, welcomed Toke Binzer. “We look forward to the opportunities his experience and leadership style will bring,” he said.
“We share the ambitions of high professionalism, execution power and a strong anchoring in Greenland so I am very much looking forward to the collaboration.”
Raised in Nuuk, Binzer returned to the city with his wife and two sons in 2022. He brings extensive international experience, having held senior positions at IBM and TDC, where he led major transformation initiatives. He also served as director of Tusass, gaining valuable insight into Greenlandic business and society.
This dual background positions him uniquely to lead Royal Greenland, a global seafood company with a strong societal role in Greenland.
Interim chief executive Preben Sunke said, “It has been an honour to lead Royal Greenland, albeit for a short time.
“I now look forward, together with the rest of the board, to collaborating with Toke to execute the strategy and restore the economy.”
