Fish and Nephrops Stocks Information: 2007

The UK Fisheries Research Services (FRS) has produced a booklet providing the latest detailed information on Fish and Nephrops Stocks for 2007.

The booklet contains the most current information on stock assessment, how fish quotas are agreed, the form of ICES (International Council for the Exploration of the Sea) advice together with key details on stocks.

Scientific work is undertaken at FRS to understand the biology and the state of commercially important fish stocks. FRS investigates the life history of each stock, for example when the fish spawn, how long they live, and what they eat. Staff also research how changes in the marine environment may affect fish stocks.

The booklet has been sent to key industry representatives and is available to download from the FRS website or by contacting the FRS Marine Laboratory Library (01224 876544/ ML_Library@marlab.ac.uk).
