Redox acquires compressor specialist Trykkluftservice

The acquisition brings together Redox, a supplier of oxygen and water-treatment solutions for aquaculture, with Trykkluftservice, a long-established provider of compressors and compressed air systems based in Møre og Romsdal county. Founded in 1980, Trykkluftservice has completed more than 750 compressor installations and serves both aquaculture and land-based industries.

Under the agreement, Trykkluftservice will continue to operate as a separate company, retaining its name, organisation and local presence. General manager Jan Atle Yndestad will remain in charge, and all eight employees will continue with the business.

Redox said the acquisition will allow both companies’ customers to access a broader range of services, faster response times and deeper technical expertise across oxygen, vacuum and compressed air systems – areas that are increasingly critical for operational uptime and fish welfare in modern aquaculture.

“Customers get the best of both worlds,” said Redox managing director Asbjørn Skaro. “Together, we can deliver even more complete solutions and ensure maximum uptime for critical systems.”

The deal also gives Redox a physical presence in the Sunnmøre region, complementing its existing operations in Nordmøre and Trøndelag. The expanded footprint is expected to shorten service distances, improve response times and increase access to experienced technicians.

Trykkluftservice customers will continue working with the same personnel but will gain access to an expanded offering that includes oxygen and nitrogen systems, cleaning solutions, and advanced water-treatment technologies based on ozone and UV.

“We have built the company step-by-step during the past 45 years. Now we will be able to provide our customers with a broader service and product range by becoming part of a larger professional environment,” Yndestad said. “Redox shares our values and ambitions, and together we can continue driving innovation.”

Redox has acquired 100% of the shares in Trykkluftservice, which reported revenues of around NOK 20 million in 2025. 

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Redox is majority-owned by seafood-focused private equity firm Bluefront Equity and supplies solutions aimed at improving fish welfare and biosecurity while reducing chemical use in aquaculture operations.
