Belzona Polymerics Limited has created a cost effective repair material for applications within oily and wet environments which will be launched at Icefish 2008.
Belzona 1831 (Super UW Metal) is a highly adhesive, surface tolerant paste grade material that can be used for cold bonding and the sealing of water or oil leaks in fuel tanks, hydraulic pipes, marine engines and other equipment operating in wet and oily environments.
This new and innovative repair composite has good corrosion and chemical resistance, is solvent free and can be applied in-situ, consequently reducing downtime. Belzona 1831 eliminates the need for specialist tools and is a cost effective solution to repair and maintenance needs at a fraction of the cost of replacing equipment.
