In recent months Marel has launched its SmartLine Grader and OCM9500 box and crate labeller.

The new SmartLine Grader series has been described as a revolution in hygienic grading for the fish, meat and poultry industries.

The SmartLine Grader offers maximum hygiene capabilities. It has an IP69K rating, and its open frame design and minimal horizontal surfaces ensure maximum hygiene during high-pressure wash-down. The strip-down time for cleaning has been vastly reduced, resulting in minimal downtime.

The SmartLine is fast and highly accurate, and, with its complete modular design, the SmartLine can be configured to meet all grading needs.

The SmartLine also features a comprehensive, real-time reporting function that gives the operator a complete overview of the production process.

Waterproof box labeller
Marel’s OCM9500 box and crate labeller has been upgraded with a waterproof chassis and indicator to withstand full washdown to IP69K, subject to the printer being covered or removed.

Introduced earlier this year, the waterproof OCM9500 box/crate labeller is suitable for automatic weighing and labelling applications in both wet and dry production environments. The unit handles crates and boxes up to 40kg in weight, providing consistent weighing accuracy with automatic zero tracking.

Speed is subject to box size and label print requirement, for example, eurocrates of 600mm x 400mm size can be automatically weighed and labelled at speeds up to 35 units per minute.

Labels can be applied to the front and side of the box by a combination of up to 8 label applicators, including print of barcodes, best before dates and product, as well as warehouse tracking information. Long print head life contributes greatly to its low running costs.

OCM9500 is fully approved throughout Europe and selected territories for use in weigh price labelling and checkweighing applications. Innova Integration is available to assist control of the packing and dispatch process.
