Kaj Olesen A/S has launched its newly designed pinbone remover, along with a new fillet turner.
The company says that the new EM 103pinbone remover works on the same principles as the previous version, the EM102, meaning it has a very low meat loss.
The existing pinbone system has been developed in order to achieve a better yield and also to ensure that the pinboner will be gentler to the fillet. This new pinboning system will be installed on all future machines from Kaj Olesen.
The capacity is 700-1200kg fresh or smoked fillets per hour, depending of the type of fish.
One of the differences to this machine compared to others from Kaj Olesen is that it can use air orwater to keep the rollers clean.
The FC 100 is a fish turner (fish carousel) that can turn the fillets in a processing line from tail-end first to head-first, or vice versa, without using manpower. Therefore it is possible to save an operator between the pinbone remover and a possible skinning machine, where the tail-end first is needed.
The company says an advantage of this system is that it can turn the fillet in very little space.
