McMurdo Ltd has appointed a European sales manager. David Duffin joins the company to handle sales of the McMurdo and Kannad Marine brands of commercial and leisure marine safety products throughout Russia, North Africa and the European region.
Duffin will work closely with the major distributors to grow regional sales of the company’s range of emergency distress beacons, NAVTEX and emergency VHF radios. He will also develop new markets and territories within the region, to take advantage of the rapidly growing demand for the company’s products.
For more than 10 years Duffin was at yacht and powerboat importers Sea Ventures,where he became a director, responsible for the overall marketing strategy for the UK for brands such as Jeanneau, Aquador and Sabre Yachts.
In addition, he had overall responsibility for the commissioning and equipping of many new yachts and powerboats each year.
Most recently he was sales manager at Oval Stainless responsible for key accounts within the UK marine sector such as Sunseeker, RNLI and Fairline. He was also responsible for business development within the Europe-wide superyacht sector.
