Nippon Suisan Kaisha Ltd (Nissui) has acquired frozen seafood producer Delmar Co for an undisclosed price. The Japanese seafood company bought all of Delmar''s shares from its parent company.

Based in Chiba, Delmar supplies frozen seafood products like fish burgers and fish sticks to restaurants, such as McDonald’s. It reported sales of JPY 8.7 billion (€76.7 million/$100.3 million) in 2009.
Nissui, which also makes prepared and processed foods, will use Delmar's processing plants in Chiba, Thailand and elsewhere to strengthen its own commercial food business.
