The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) is inviting visitors to visit its stand at Fishing 2007 to talk to staff about fishing vessel surveying or inspection.
Surveyors and inspectors and UK Registry staff (formerly Registration of Shipping and Seamen) will be available.
The organisation’s aim is to prevent accidents and environmental damage, and to promote a safety culture that reduces risks to fishermen.
The stand will focus on liferaft stowage and safe deployment and on avoiding machinery breakdown at sea. There will also be a daily draw for safety equipment.
