One of the largest supplier of animal feeds to UK public aquariums, Marine Nutrition, has received Marine Stewardship Council certification (MSC).
This means that the company will now be able to offer the new sustainable option of Norwegian North Sea herring to 24 of the 26 public aquariums in the UK – as well as several zoos and wildlife parks.
Marine Nutrition says that going down the MSC certification route matches the main driving force of the business – sourcing products from well-managed, sustainable fisheries.
