Egersund Trawl from Norway, continues the development of equipment to make pelagic fishing more efficient.
Due to recent the quota on its main market, Blue Whiting fishing, looking for new market has been the company’s top priority for the last 2-3 years.
Supplying huge factory trawlers fishing for jack mackerel in the south pacific have been a great value for Egersund. The number of vessel using Egersund’s equipment is rising, including vessels from China and Korea.
The main market is still the Blue Whiting fishing, which includes Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, Scottish, French and Faroese vessels.
Among Egersund’s new customers is the Atlantic Navigator fishing on Faroese quota of Blue Whiting.
This state of the art vessel just completed a trip of 1200 tonnes of surimi in just 2 weeks, which is a great achievement. Atlantic Navigator is supplied with 2000 meter and 2300 meter circumference nets.
Egersund is also a big supplier of pelagic trawl doors.
The newest model have only been on the marked for a short period, but have the new Wings model is already produced in 20 sets, ranging from 10 – 17 sqm.
