Jens Vogler has been appointed by Thai Union as CEO of Rügen Fisch AG with its subsidiaries Hawesta-Feinkost Hans Westphal GmbH & Co. KG and Ostsee Fisch GmbH & Co. Produktions- und Vertriebs KG.
He will manage the entire Rügen Fisch Group business with responsibility for the its performance, including the commercial and supply chain strategies, and annual business plans to ensure the company achieves its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible.
He will also drive the company’s innovation strategy, working closely with local, regional and global innovation teams and will continue to differentiate the Rügen Fisch Group from its main competitors and private label by positioning Rügen Fisch, Hawesta and Lysell as premium brands.
Jens Vogler joins the company from the ultra-fresh division of the Bonduelle business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where he had responsibility for the branded, private label and food service divisions. He also brings very strong brand building and key account experience through his previous roles at Danone and Unilever.
He joins the team on 1st June 2019 and will report together with CFO Axel Wolff to the Rügen Fisch AG supervisory board. Jens Vogler will sit on the Thai Union Europe Leadership Team and be appointed to the management board of Rügen Fisch AG as its CEO.
