A new cross-departmental safety initiative for the Irish fishing industry has been launched by the Ministry of Agriculture Food and Marine and the Ministry for Transport, Tourism and Sport.
Minister for Agriculture Food and Marine, Simon Coveney, said; “This cross Departmental initiative launched here today is testament to this Government’s commitment to improving safety in our fishing fleet. It is about learning from past tragedies, and saving lives in the future.”
