The 2022 Icelandic Fisheries Awards were presented at a reception on Wednesday 8th June and were hosted by the Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture and the City of Kópavogur.
The awards were first introduced in 1999 and the stature of this event has grown over the years. The awards are hotly contested and are now truly seen as an accolade with winners using their success in the awards to promote their company and products.
The 8th Icefish Awards took place immediately after the closure of the first day of the exhibition on Wednesday 8th June 2022.
The ceremony was in the format of a cocktail reception, offering great networking opportunities for all.
The awards evening has become synonymous with the venue – the beautiful Gerðarsafn – Kópavogur Art Museum, which is only five minutes away from the exhibition.
