Nils will be speaking at the one-day Aquaculture – Driving Sustainable Growth Conference on Tuesday 22 September at IceFish.
In the session entitled “Quickfire AI and emerging technology” he will discuss the impact of animal welfare and modularity on primary processing infrastructure and explore how next‑generation processing systems are reshaping seafood production. Delegates will hear how modular, welfare‑verified, and highly automated equipment can boost efficiency, enhance food safety, and support scalable, sustainable growth across operations.
Nils says, “Baader has developed a sophisticated system to ensure fish are stunned before processing by adapting to their individual size, alongside customised systems that reduced cleaning time and improved food safety.
“Animal welfare means the world to us,” he added. “That’s why we are putting a lot of resources into this important topic, and we believe that animal welfare aspects in the seafood industry will be strictly enforced on a global level going forward.”
Nils Rabe has a strong background in processing and project management; he plays a key role in advancing innovation and efficiency within the global seafood industry by helping partners optimize the use of BAADER’s cutting-edge equipment and solutions.
Nils began his journey with BAADER in April 2019 as an Area Sales Manager. In June 2021, he was appointed CEO of BAADER North America, where he successfully led the regional business and strengthened its market presence. Since 2024, he has returned to Germany with his family to take on the role of Global Sales Director Fish, driving strategic initiatives and global sales efforts.
Nils will also be speaking at the 100% Fish for Profit conference, in the “Enabling technologies for full utilisation” session. The session will take place on Wednesday 23 September.
