HB Grandi hf. has entered negotiations with Turkish ship building company Celiktrans Deniz Ltd. on the construction of three wetfish trawlers, based on an offer from the ship builder.

The total contract amount will be close to ISK6.8bn (more than €44m). If negotiations are successful, the first two ships will be delivered in 2016 and the third in 2017.

Celiktrans is currently building two pelagic ships for HB Grandi.
