Wild-caught shellfish processor Macduff Shellfish, now part of Clearwater Seafoods, has appointed former Marine Management Organisation (MMO) executive, Dr Sarah Pilgrim-Morrison, to harness its sustainability commitments.

Dr Pilgrim-Morrison will be responsible for the execution of Clearwater’s strategy to protect the long-term sustainability of resources on land and sea within the Macduff business.

Commenting on her appointment, Dr Pilgrim-Morrison said: “I look forward to working with Macduff Shellfish, the wider Clearwater business and collaboratively with colleagues in the European industry and government to further stablish a sound framework to protect the long term sustainability of our fisheries resources.”

Dr Pilgrim-Morrison’s previous roles at MMO included head of fishing effort management and acting head of statistics and analysis. She will assume her new role with Macduff on 18 April.
