The Skipper Expos will be held in Galway from 1 to 2 March 2013 and Aberdeen from 10 to 11 May 2013.

Sharon Boyle, commercial fishing sales manager, Mara Media, said: “The level of interest for both expos has been absolutely superb, and will maintain their status as ‘must visit’ events in the fisheries calendar. The continuing message we are getting from exhibitors is the excellent feedback they have enjoyed from previous shows, and this is why they are so keen to exhibit again.”

One company who will be exhibiting at both expos is Food Machinery Scotland (FMS), which says that the shows have led to a number of solid contacts and orders, along with the RNLI.

John Harold, managing director, FMS, added: “Both the Galway and the Aberdeen exhibitions have proved extremely valuable for us in the past, leading to many enquiries and solid orders. We are confident that this year’s expos will prove equally fruitful.”

Meanwhile, the Skipper Expo International Bristol, which is a new show focusing on English and Welsh fishing communities taking place in October 2013, is also attracting strong interest.
