With less than two months to go until the 2022 edition of the Nor-Fishing trade fair, the Nor-Fishing Foundation Board has announced the shortlist for its Innovation Award and a prize of NOK 100,000.
The jury have nominated three candidates for this year’s Innovation Award, for their development projects for the fishing industry:
- Bluewild AS, Ålesund & Ulstein Design & Solutions AS for their newly developed catch reception and handling of the trawl
- Marin Teknikk AS & Ervik Havfiske AS for their innovative combined fishing and catching vessel for trawl and crab fishing
- Ocean Space Acoustics AS for PingMe, a technical solution which will prevent the loss of fishing gear placed in the sea
The winner will be announced during event’s opening ceremony on 23 August.
The jury consists of Jan Henrik Sandberg, senior adviser in the Norwegian Fishermen’s Association; Oddvar Staulen, financial advisor at Innovation Norway; and Kjell Maroni, Head of Aquaculture at FHF.
