Fish Pool ASA, Norway''s only operational market for financial salmon contracts, on 27 February announced that IMAREX NOS ASA is making a strategic investment in Fish Pool ASA, with the aim of helping to build a liquid international market for seafood derivatives.
IMAREX NOS together with existing shareholders is guaranteeing NOK 12 million in new equity. IMAREX NOS gets an ownership stake in Fish Pool of 33.4% and an option to acquire up to 50%.
IMAREX NOS ASA owns and operates the world's leading market place (IMAREX) and clearing house (NOS) for maritime commodity derivatives – an industry worth over NOK 200 Billion annually.
