New Quantus (for Quantus Limited and Peter & J. Johnstone, Peterhead, Scotland) is being built at Westcon Yards Designed by Salt Ship Design, it will be equipped with 3 x RSW 1100 plants from PTG Frionordica

The contracts are for newbuilds that will be built for Norwegian and Scottish shipping companies. These will be delivered over the course of the next two years.

These 20 RSW systems will be produced at PTG’s factory in Malmefjorden, Hustadvika, on the west coast of Norway.

“We are very proud to once again be chosen by shipyards and shipping companies as a supplier of RSW facilities. In this series of contracts, there are also several new shipowners who have chosen us as a supplier for their vessels for the first time,” PTG Sales and Marketing Vice President for Marine and Industry Johnny Valle said.

“We clearly see that our collaboration with shipyards and shipowners over many years, along with our continued focus on product development for reduced energy consumption, as well as environmental footprint, ammonia filling and weight, have all been important factors in us winning these contracts.”

In 2022, PTG established PTG UK in Peterhead, Scotland for service and sales. “This has been well received by existing and new customers in the UK. Our presence with service in this area has clearly been a decisive factor in concluding these new contracts,” PTG UK General Manager Julian Ramsey said.

Ramsey added that the work done by the new arm so far has yielded good results, and he looks forward to working with old and new customers in the UK in the future.
