A large variety of oysters will be available to try during London Oyster Week

Events start with a free-to-attend drop-in session at the Richard Haward’s Oysters stand at Borough Market on Saturday 21 April.

Event organiser Katy Davidson said: “The feature events programme is an opportunity for oyster lovers, or indeed oyster doubters, to take a deep-dive and learn more about the food, the vast number of oyster varieties, and the many different ways of eating them.”

Busy agenda

Other confirmed feature events include a Bentley’s masterclass from 10-11am on 21 April; a Remy Martin Masterclass and Oyster Roast at Boulestin, St James from 5-8pm on Monday 23 April; a Oyster Atlas tasting session at Northbank Restaurant from 5.30-7.30pm on Tuesday 24 April; a Bruichladdich and Oyster Pairing Masterclass at Mac & Wild; Devonshire Square from 6-8pm on Thursday 26 April; and the Motcombs Oyster Roast from 1-3pm on Sunday 29 April.

Oyster Passports can be purchased at the Haward family’s stand or from London Oyster Week’s website. The passports will entitle holders to special offers at all participating venues throughout the week, as well as discounted entry to all feature events and 50% off the entire range at Flint & Flame Knives.

London Oyster Week will be raising funds for The Oyster Academy International - a community interest company dedicated to formalising and promoting oyster culture around the world, while fundraising to support the oyster industry, education programmes, and restoration efforts.
