The European Aquaculture Technology and Innovation Platform (EATIP) is an international non-profit association dedicated to develop, support and promote technology and innovation in the aquaculture sector in Europe so as to:

- Establish a strong relationship between aquaculture and the consumer
- Assure a sustainable aquaculture industry
- Consolidate the role of aquaculture in society
As a recognised multi-stakeholder European Technology Platform, its membership consists of companies, institutions, universities, associations, federations, organisations and observers. They have a collective interest in supporting and strengthening the knowledge base to promote a responsible and future-proof ocean food system.
EATiP seeks to empower the mission of aquaculture growth through actively bringing the sector’s research and development priorities to the European agenda. EATiP also provides a platform for sharing knowledge with the most important aquaculture stakeholders across the private and public sector, and engages its members in discussions to deliver common priorities as input to relevant policy documents.
The newly established EATiP Mirror Platforms are industry-driven multi-stakeholder aquaculture clusters, aimed to further reinforce the mobilisation of SME’s in the strategic planning. They are important facilitators to gather knowledge on consensus opinions and priorities of the stakeholder communities in their regions/countries and to align these national and European level.
