Royal Lankhorst Euronete Group and the Le Brun brothers have come to an agreement for the former to acquire the brother’s company – Group Le Drezen in Guilvinec, France.
Le Drezen Group has been involved in the production of fishing nets, in selling fishing hardware and wire rope for the French market and for export, for more than 80 years. Le Drezen is a very strong and innovative company with a major presence in tuna fishing markets worldwide.
Pierre and Louis Le Brun say, “We are pleased that we could come to an agreement with the Royal Lankhorst Euronete Group for the sale of our activities in France. Royal Lankhorst Euronete Group is the largest European group involved in the production of fishing nets. We therefore are convinced that the activities of Le Drezen will stay in good hands in the future.”
The Le Brun brothers will remain involved in the management of the company for another two years.
José Luis Gramaxo, president/CEO of the Royal Lankhorst Euronete Group says, “Many years we have tried to penetrate the French fishing net market, but until recently with little success. Now, with Le Drezen, we can continue the good work done by Pierre and Louis Le Brun. At the same time we can increase Le Drezen’s portfolio with our new generation of products for fishing applications and also develop new synergies between the two groups. Therefore we are delighted with this acquisition and it is good to be able to count on the brothers Le Brun to work with us in the near future.”
Le Drezen group employs more than 50 people and has an annual turnover of more than €10m.
