Eitzen Maritime Services ASA has announced that the company’s offering on the North American continent is being significantly strengthened.
EMS has joined the United Chandlers alliance, which includes ship supply companies all around the North American shorelines.
United Chandlers currently includes eight North American ship supply companies. The alliance operates out of more than 65 ports on the Western and Eastern seaboards of USA and Canada as well as in the Golf of Mexico.
EMS Ship Supply will become the ninth member of the alliance and the first outside North America. The move represents a major improvement of EMS Ship Supply's customer offering. It will also significantly influence EMS' sales volumes; North American sales to EMS customers will be included in the Company's P&L and handled by a local partner in ports without EMS presence.
The United Chandlers membership further improves EMS Ship Supply's ability to offer global framework agreements to its customers, simplifying the shipowner's purchasing and logistics processes.
“After having secured strong presence in key shipping areas in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia, we are now pleased to have established an attractive offering also in North America. In doing so the global leader in ship supply has become even more global,” said Ms Annette Malm Justad, CEO of Eitzen Maritime Services ASA.
