Vónin has reported that great interest was shown in the company’s connection plates at the recent Aquaculture UK exhibition, which was held in Scotland.
The connection plates come in two different sizes - the regular plate which is 395mm in diameter and the new plate, which is 720mm in diameter.
The plates are made from acid proof stainless steel and have a very high breaking point. Vónin says that the greatest advantages in using them is that the mooring frame needs fewer and less frequent inspections and these plates have a much longer life span than other connection plates.
These plates have been used by fish farmers in the Faroe Islands for years and can withstand the harsh and tough environment that the fish farms are subject to.
Vónin has delivered equipment both for sites that have a wave height of 8m and sites that have a current strength of 0.8 metres/sec. Therefore Vónin says it has the solution for fish farmers who are looking to farm their fish on exposed sites.
