The Port of Tvoroyri is the co-ordinator of the Suðuroy-Tvoroyristand exhibition stand at NAFF that is being sponsored by the Municipality of Tvoroyri.
As a combined fishing and cargo centre, many different types of ships visit the port. Their needs are taken care of by local suppliers, such as ships chandlers, fishing equipment providers, steel workers, navigational equipment repairs and sales. The port will be taking the opportunity given by NAFF to present the wide range maritime services that are available in the port.
According to the port, innovation is the keyword when you live in an isolated area that depends on nature. At the port’s stand visitors will see solutions for making trawling more profitable and, at the same time, saving the environment. Bearing in mind the ongoing debate of global warming, the port says that it offers realistic solutions to the issue.
