To meet such demands Castrol has developed a range of premium engine oils under the Seamax brand name.
Seamax Extra (SAE 30 & 40) -- Monograde engine oils which exceed API CF performance specification. Seamax Extra provides protection against wear even under extreme operating conditions and also ensures class leading engine cleanliness.
Furthermore the product has a base number (BN) of 15, which gives extra insurance when burning distillate fuels of variable quality.
Seamax Super Plus (SAE 15W/40) -- The first choice when a multigrade engine oil is specified and ideal for the lubrication of 'marinised' truck engines.

(In hot climates a 20W/50 version may also be available).
Seamax Standard (SAE 30-40) For older normally aspirated engines that often operate under light load for significant periods.
