The Chairman of Ireland’s Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), Rose McHugh, has announced the appointment of Jason Whooley as Chief Executive of BIM to take effect from 1 July 2007.
Jason Whooley has been Chief Executive of the Irish South and West Fish Producers’ Organisation for the past 11 years and has played a leading role in representing the interests of Irish fishermen at national and European level.
Commenting on the appointment, Ms McHugh said that “Jason Whooley will bring his extensive knowledge and experience of the fishing industry to his new role as Chief Executive of BIM.”
