Seafood supplier Beijing Culimer Seafood Im-Exporting Co Ltd has moved to a new, larger location to facilitate the company’s growth in China.

Due to the increase of business the company has decided to move closer to the biggest seafood market and distribution centre of northern China. The company believes the move will help improve its efficiency by bringing supply closer to demand.

The new site is situated at Nansanhuan Xilu, Fengtai District in Beijing.

In the four years that the company has been operating Beijing Culimer has gained a reasonable market share in the Chinese seafood industry by offering seafood products as king crab, tuna and shrimp, the company said, adding that the increase of business has shown the importance of staying close to the cold store and seafood market.

“The seafood market and distribution centre are very important for the seafood industry in northern China,” said Li Shuang, general manager of Beijing Culimer. “The location of the new office allows us to have easy access to our stocked products, to our daily transportation and to the seafood market where part of the business takes place.”

Beijing Culimer is part of Netherlands-based Culimer BV and together with the other Culimer offices form part of Ibro Mar Holding BV.

The Culimer range comprises more than 100 different products of more than 25 seafood species, branded as Mimi, Toppy as well as various private labels.
