Belgian business automation specialist Aucxis has developed P-Fish, an extensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) package, in collaboration with five renowned fish processing companies in The Netherlands.
Aucxis' solutions for the fishing industry already include the electronic logbook E-Catch, all-embracing electronic trading systems and the administrative software A-Fish. With P-Fish, Aucxis technology now supports the entire chain.
At the beginning of November Gebroeders Kooy was the third company to convert its complete business software to P-Fish, as was successfully done earlier this year by Rodé Vis and Dayseday.
Apart from the standard buying, sales, stock management and production modules, additional modules including forecast, planning, forward and backward cost calculation and invoicing have been integrated in the software. These are supported by the required management tools, reports and traceability features. Furthermore, P-Fish provides each company with an information and message system, for both internal and inter-company use. It is also possible to directly import and process purchases and transactions from other fish auctions, in particular those using Aucxis software.
P-Fish uses touch screen technology and is designed to avoid duplicate actions, resulting in time savings.
Gerrit Wakker, enthusiastic user of P-Fish at salmon smokehouse Rodé Vis, praises the effectiveness of the software, “The efficient data exchange between the different modules has resulted in a considerable saving of time for all staff involved.”
Aucxis is currently rolling out the software at Neerlandia and Quick Frozen. By 1 January 2014 P-Fish will be fully operational in five fish processing companies. Aucxis says it is looking forward to introducing its ERP package outside of The Netherlands, and already has interest from fish processing companies in the UK, France, Morocco and Tahiti.
