Founded in 1950, Troticoltura Cherubini is a beacon in Italian aquaculture. Operations are based on a short and closed supply chain – to ensure high quality and traceability standards are adhered to. Among its most appreciated innovations is the patent for steamed trout fillets preserved in olive oil which ensures a four-year shelf life.

The company processes three different types of trout: Rainbow trout, brown trout, and Arctic char. These are available in various formats and enriched with selected ingredients such as olive oil, bay leaves and prized black truffle.

Troticoltura Cherubini said that Friend of the Sea certification represents an added-value for the company, strengthening the link between product quality, sustainability and environmental protection.

“Getting certified by Friend of the Sea was a natural step for us, as we have always believed in the value of sustainability and the protection of our territory,” Troticoltura Cherubini’s management said. “This achievement not only represents recognition for our daily commitment but also allows us to communicate to consumers our desire to offer quality products that respect the environment and future generations.”

Troticoltura Cherubini’s entire production process, from egg hatching to final processing, is carried out internally, ensuring control and compliance with Friend of the Sea standards. It said the certification also allows it to optimise production processes, rationalise resources and increase transparency towards its customers.
