World Trade Exhibitions has announced the launch of the AQA Conference 2009.

The conference will be held on 18 September 2009 and will be co-located with the World Fishing Exhibition and AQA 2009 (16-19 September 2009, IFEVI Exhibition, Vigo, Spain).
Entitled 'Marine aquaculture – the 21st century opportunity and challenge for world fishing', the conference will pose and answer crucial questions such as: is marine aquaculture a viable alternative to wild capture fisheries? And, how can traditional fishing businesses successfully move into it?
The conference is organised in association with the European Aquaculture Society (EAS) and the Spanish Marine Fish Farmers Association (APROMAR). EAS and APROMAR members and their experts will share their knowledge and experiences of establishing and developing marine fish farms for more than 20 years.
Sessions will include:
• Why switch?
• Is it difficult?
• Where would I site my farm?
• What’s my risk:reward ratio?
• How do I sell my catch?
The AQA Conference has been described as a must-attend event for small to medium sized fleet owners looking to expand into marine aquaculture, but will benefit anyone wanting an update on the latest aquaculture technology and practices. Delegates will also have the opportunity to ask pertinent questions of a panel of experts.
