Andfjord Salmon has entered into an agreement with Fjell Technology Group on the supply of recycling technology whereby all biomass will be recycled.

The technology that Fjell will deliver is an important part of the process helping Andfjord Salmon to become one of the most environmentally friendly facilities in the world. The technology will handle the biomass that the multi cleaning systems collect from the pools. All residues will be collected, dried and re-used in growth products.
“We are proud to announce that Fjell Technology Group has signed a contract to supply our technology to one of the most innovative and ambitious aquaculture projects in Norway. We hope to be a partner for this exciting project in all phases ahead,” explained Roy Olav Hovlid of the Fjell Technology Group.
The construction of Andfjord Salmon's facility at Kvalnes in Andøya is moving at a fast pace and the smolt will be deployed in the pools during the summer. Recycling of all biomass is an important part of Andfjord's vision of being a sustainable facility with as small a carbon footprint as possible.
"We are pleased to have Fjell Technology Group as a supplier to this important part of our salmon farm,” commented Helge Krøgenes, director of business development and finance at Andfjord Salmon.
“With our innovative technology, we will collect all biomass, dry it and then deliver it to partners that produce growth products. At all levels, we must be aware of our environmental responsibility and contribute to development and brand-new solutions that renew the aquaculture industry,” he added.
